St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Options

There are two main ways to achieve St. Kitts/Nevis citizenship and a second passport:

  1. Contribution to Sustainable Growth Fund (Fund)
  2. The Real Estate Option

Both programs allow the acquisition of citizenship by a direct contribution to development projects in the nation. By option one, a family or individual qualifies to apply for citizenship through an investment in designated real estate. Through option 2, a family or individual qualifies to apply for citizenship through a financial contribution made to the HRF, providing assistance for the Government and local citizens to recover after the devastation created by the Hurricane.

St Kitts Citizenship by Investment Through a Non-Refundable Contribution to the Sustainable Growth Fund (Fund)

This option was created in April 2018 to assist the Government with support of the economic growth of the country, funding of school construction and developments in the educational sector, support tourism sector, promote environment friendly conditions for the country, mitigate effects and medicate the effects of climate change as well as improve medical facilities in St.Kitts and Nevis.

Applications for a single investor through Fund option besides other standard Government processing and due diligence fees will require a non-refundable contribution of:

  • $150,000 (one hundred fifty thousand United States Dollars).

For investors with larger families an extra non-refundable contribution of US $25,000 for spouse and US $10,000 per each dependent.

Due Diligence

Due diligence fees are broken down accordingly:

  • Main applicant — US $7500;
  • Spouse and dependent children over 16 — US $4000.

Agent Fees

(Agent, administrative, legal, processing)

  • US $15,000 for a single applicant (non-refundable, payable in advance)
  • US $20,000 for a couple application (non-refundable, payable in advance)
  • US $25,000 for a family (non-refundable, payable in advance)

Additional Fees not included here include fees for the cost of property transfer of ownership for the memorandum of transfer and Government Stamp Duty. These fees are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Citizenship by Investment in St. Kitts through Real Estate Option

Anyone who selects the Real Estate citizenship option must invest a minimum of US $200,000 in a government approved real estate development project made up of either land only, or land and house/villa.

Family size is irrelevant; however, the registration fee is based on the number of dependents and ages as follows:

St. Kitts Citizenship by Investment Advantages.

Second Passport and St. Kitts/Nevis Citizenship for life

St Kitts and Nevis offers second passport and Citizenship for life for the main applicant, applicant’s spouse and qualifying dependents (if any).

Dual Citizenship

Dual citizenship is permitted and there is no residence requirement. It is not necessary to visit St. Kitts or Nevis to process the 2nd citizenship application, but we do recommend you visit the island if you have chosen the Real Estate option, to select your property. And, if you want to reside in St. Kitts or Nevis there are no restrictions on doing so.

Granting of Citizenship

If you have submitted all documents (i.e. application forms and all supporting documents, etc.) and passed all necessary procedures (like due — diligence) you can expect to receive your Certificate of Naturalization and Passport within 90 days as a rule. The processing time for St Kitts citizenship depends on many factors, but can run 3-4 months. A Certificate of Naturalization is issued for each member of the family.

Second Passport Validity

The validity of passports in St. Kitts is ten (10) years. A passport which expired or which has no further space for visas must be replaced with a new one at nominal cost of US $100 for adult passports and US $100 for children under 16.

Visa-Free Travel

Travel visa-free to more than one hundred thirty-seven (137) countries and territories including Great Britain, Hong Kong, Liechtenstein, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and Schengen States of the European Union.

Tax Free Status

Second passport and St Kitts citizenship through investment is the key to preserve your wealth. There are no capital gains, gift, wealth, inheritance and income taxes.

Security

Protection of bank accounts, real estate and businesses, both abroad and within your own country.

Confidentiality

The Government of St Kitts does not inform the country of your current citizenship or residency about your second or third citizenship.

Residential permit

Such permit is easier to obtain by St Kitts and Nevis citizens wishing to reside in Monaco, Switzerland, Andorra, United Kingdom, and Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Bahamas and other Caribbean countries.

Guarantee

Your representative for the citizenship application will be CCP Inc, who has years of experience in these matters. The investment into the economy of these countries is paid to the local governing authority depending on the citizenship options and will be held in escrow account, which will only be released when citizenship is granted or returned if citizenship is denied.

Fees paid to CCP Inc will cover legal costs, processing and application fees and expenses. The processing will not begin until CCP is prepaid.

St. Kitts Citizenship By-Investment Program: Costs, Terms, Conditions and Payments

Under the Fund option, cash is donated directly to the Fund, the contribution amounts:

  1. US $150,000 for a Single applicant or Couples application
  2. US $175,000 for an applicant with a spouse
  3. Any additional dependent can be added at the cost of US $ 10,000

Minimum Investment Value for Real Estate Option is US $200,000.

Application/registration fees:

  • US $35,000 for a single applicant
  • US $20,000 for spouse
  • US $10,000 each for dependents

Dues Diligence Fees are:

Payment Terms & Conditions

  1. All agent fees are non-refundable
  2. All agent fees legal fees are paid to CCP Inc. in advance of the process.
  3. Due diligence fees are paid to the Government of St Kitts.

Investment amount to the designated HRF account or a government escrow account required to be paid upon successful approval of the application.

St. Kitts Citizenship by Investment and Passport Application — Required Documents

For each applicant:

  • 1 Form C1 — Application form
  • 1 Form C2 — Photograph and Signature Certificate form
  • 1 Form C3 — medical Certificate
  • Certified copy of passport
  • Certified copy of national identification card
  • 6 original size passport pictures
  • Certified copy of birth certificate
  • Original police certificate from all countries of citizenship and residence
  • Certified copies of military records (if any)

  • 1 C4 -Investment confirmation/ Escrow Agreement, plus confirmation of deposit if all funds.(SIDF option)
  • Or copy of duly executed real estate contract i.e. the Purchase & Sales Agreement ( Real Estate option)

All the documents have to be in English or have to be translated by the Certified Translator and duly notarized.

Please note: This is not an all inclusive list of documents required for the Citizenship application. Occasionally, the local authorities might require additional documents or information during the application process.

St Kitts Nevis Citizenship Program — Procedural Steps of the Application

Step one:

Decide which Investment Option is best for you.

Pay us the professional and legal fees, once paid, we will lead you through the collection and completion of the required paper work for the due diligence agency.

Contact us for the Data Form and fill it and submit it to us by e-mail or fax. Based on the information provided in the data form we will advise you on the paperwork requirements and lead you through the process of collecting and organizing the documents. Applicant and members of the family should send some of the documents required by fax or e-mail. Our legal team will check the documents for correctness.

Step two:

We will submit your application to the government on your behalf. The due diligence will begin when all necessary document are submitted. The due diligence process may be time consuming, depending on particular circumstances of the applicants, but in our experience, it normally takes approximately thirty to sixty days for the government to receive the results from the due-diligence agency. It all depends upon the countries, where the checks have to be done.

Step three:

In the interim, you must pay the calculated investment amount into the escrow accounts. The agent fees between US $15,000 to US $25,000 (depending on the chosen type of application) are used to cover such expenses as procedural and stamp fees, our professional and legal fees.

If you have selected the real estate option, this would be the time to schedule a visit to the island to hand pick your choice of St. Kitts property. Alternatively, CCP Inc. will be happy to provide prime property options, with photos for you to choose from. If you decide to visit St. Kitts/ Nevis, we will meet you at the airport and we will make sure that your stay in St. Kitts/Nevis is productive yet enjoyable.

Step four:

Once the Approval Letter is issued, you will receive a Citizenship Certificate of Registration, your Certificate of Title for Property (Real Estate option only). You may immediately apply for your St Kitts passport though us.
