The Belize International Business Companies Act 1990, since revised offers the following beneficial features:
- Belize corporation are 100% tax exempt
- There are no income, capital gains, inheritance, estate, profit, or any other forms taxes on Belize IBC

- A single person can set up a Belize IBC as just one director and one shareholder is required to set up an offshore company where the director can be the same person as the shareholder
